Elokuun päätös

Jokohan ne kesäkelit loppuivat, viikonloppuna ainakin oli jo melko koleaa.. Ihan syystunnelmissa sai kulkea sienimetsässä. Treeniäkin tuli monipuolisemmin kuin monella edellisviikolla joten voisi ehkä kirjata noita taas tännekin vaikkei mistään järkevästä harjoittelusta voikaan puhua..

Ma: Kimppalenkki yhteensä 1h 15min jossa 12km n. 4:30/km. Yllättävän helpon oloista noin vauhdikkaaksi.
Ti: Lepo.
Ke: Uinti n. 1km altaassa, tekniikkaa tapaillen
To: Lepo.
Pe: Uinti n. 2km altaassa, tekniikkaa ja käännöstä treenaillen.
Juoksu 32min rauhallista.
La: Pyörä yhteensä 244,5km + juoksu n. 1km. Ensin Hki-Kouvola (167,5km), jossa tunnin ruokatunti ja sitten vielä Kouvola-Suomenniemen rantasauna (77km). Lopuksi muutama minuutti juoksua hiekalla. Tuntui sujuvan ihan ok. Fillarin lopussa vasen koipi alkoi vähän kramppailemaan, mutta muuten oli mukava ajella. Töitä sai kuitenkin tehdä sillä tuuli oli todella inhottava lähes suora vastainen koko päivän ja vielä niin viileä, että reidet lyhyissä housuissa tuntuivat olevan koko ajan vähän jäykät ja kohmeiset.
Su: Lepoa, verkonnostoa, virvelöintiä, sienestystä, matkustusta, penkkiurheilua.

Tänään taas juoksulenkille.

    Hello Perttu, I came to your side because I was looking for the Lauttasaari-Run homepage. You seem to be an expert on running and triathlon.

    Together with a bunch of international friends we are running regularly, attended so far the Paavo Nurmi Run in TKU, Länsiväylä Run and Helsinki City Run and one brave guy made it through the Espoo Rantamaraton this year. We would like to run in competitions more often, but it seems hard to find any kind of schedule or homepage, that indicates the schedules in English too (and our Finnish is not very good). Maybe you have to link or konw whereelse we could try to be lucky? Maybe I am just lacking the Finnish search word?

    Anyways, Keep up the good run, swim and cycling!

    The only schedule (in English) that comes to my mind is www.42k195.com where you can search for marathons all over the world. The service will also list the marathons that are geographically close to the one that you were looking for. Unfortunately, this service is for marathon distance only and it will exclude some Finnish marathons.

    There are a couple of Finnish sites that list almost all races in Finland. The most comprehensive is probably the race calender of Juoksija magazine. Here's the link http://www.juoksija-lehti.fi/Default.aspx?tabid=117

    It will be in Finnish, but I think you can find the date, location and start time there. Just select the correct Month using the links on top ('edellinen kk=previous month/seuraava kk=next month')

    All races that are validated by the Finnish Athletics Foundation can be found (in Finnish only..) at www.kilpailukalenteri.fi

    In Vantaa there's a nice 5k/10k winter running series called Aktia Cup. You can find the race schedule, results and more information (in Finnish) here http://www.talli2000.fi/kilpailut/index3.htm The race office will be at the school of Sotunki in Hakunila, Vantaa. There will be both competitive and recretional runners in these meetings. You can also send e-mail to harri.mannermaa (@) kolumbus.fi to get more information about Aktia Cup in English.
